CNN.comI've had the same feelings as most of the country when faced with the situation that is the AIG bonuses: anger, confusion, and a thirst for blood. The
House has passed legislation that would tax these bonuses to return 90% to the government. I have
doubts about not only the constitutionality of this bill, but I also feel that the approach is not effective and scares off potential business allies for the government. Since the situation has had time to simmer, I doubt the Senate will pass the measure. President Obama also voiced
disapproval for this method in his interview Sunday.
