In an effort to be well rounded...

I'll post some news links that I think are definitely interesting and some are debatable...

A mother with TWO uterus-es gives birth to twins... Spell check doesn't even have a plural of uterus. Personally, I'd like to see an x-ray of that because I find it hard to believe. The mechanics of her menstruation would be very interesting to know!!!

BBC has a children's show host who was born without an arm. You can figure out how people are responding to THAT. I understand the opposition, but those people must know they sound like assholes for complaining about a disabled woman being seen by their kids. I think having children see that not everyone with disfigurement is a monster is a good thing. Maybe DJ Paul from Three 6 Mafia would put down that towel if we were more accepting... If Teletubbies were okay for kids to see, let the woman entertain and educate children!!

Sri Lanka. You can make your own determination, but it's become apparent that the entire world is gripped by the influence of terror organizations. Interestingly enough, M.I.A. is allegedly affiliated with a Tamil Tiger militant group, but she denies the link. Regardless, Sri Lanka is her birth country, and she speaks about the situation there from time to time.

Abortion has stayed a "hot topic" that requires delicacy when dealing with people on either side of the issue. There is a "conscience clause" for "health-care professionals who don't want to perform abortions." This law is being reevaluated and revised to protect doctors as well as patients.

My own personal news is that it's SNOWING outside... Memphis weather should receive it's own descriptive word that encompasses it's irregularity!

Everyone Has an Opinion...

So I might as well put mine out there...

Chris Brown and Rihanna... I feel like I'm more involved in their relationship than they are! The night of the "incident" I received an E! News txt that told me what was known of the story. She's had that awful picture leaked... And NOW everyone is reporting that they're getting back together.

Truthfully, I can understand her situation. Everyone is telling her how she shouldn't get back together with him, but the problem is that she still loves him. Because she loves him, she'll give him another chance. I can't say that I wouldn't do the same because I've never been in that situation.
If you listen to all her songs, the Rihanna you hear would never take a guy back after he hit her, choked her out, and left her on the side of the road. Rihanna and I are the same age, and if she was my friend, I'd tell her to forget a relationship with that boy as of now. Getting back with him could be detrimental to her life, her career, and her sanity. Since they're both young, a relationship once they're more mature isn't impossible...

Unfortunately and as all my best friends know, you can't tell a girl in love anything. We'll do whatever our hearts tell us because we have a deep fear of regret.

As fans, all any of us can hope is that she remains safe and in control of her life and career. So here's a link to a BRAND NEW Rihanna song... Hopefully, her new album comes out soon so we can all put this drama behind and embrase the artist again!!!

Whipping My Hair

On My Mind

I'm constantly planning for more tattoos! I have five or six other places I'd like to have tattooed and four definite things I'd like to have artistically represented on my body.

Most prominent on my mind is a lotus flower... I've been shopping ideas. What do you think?

I'm considering getting it on my lower back or the back of my neck. Obviously, I'll get a unique combination...

I've always been interested in the meaning behind the lotus and how beautifully it can be represented.

On My Body

I'm a bit of a tattoo enthusiast. I like to consider myself one of those people who get tattoos with meaning. I enjoy tattoos from an art perspective. As of now I have 3 tattoos, each of which has TRUE meaning.

My favorite would be the one down my spine. It is "Because He died, She lives." in Hebrew. It hurt like HELL, but I'd do it all over again!

I also have "Philia" which is Greek for friendship and family love.

My FIRST tattoo is my phoenix on my hip. The phoenix represents many things, but for me it's a symbol of rebirth and my astrological sign.

And on the first day He said, "Let there be light."

I've never been a public blogger, but everyone else is doing it! Why not me?

What's this blog about? In my dreams, this blog is about EVERYTHING I'm interested it!
