House of "Style"?

Okay I know this seems left field [because it is lol] but I was checking out the House of Dereon site today [don't ask] and I have few choice words...

FIRST, Why doesn't any of this stuff look like something Beyonce would ACTUALLY WEAR? The shoes are especially tragic! Hmph..

SECOND, I think the line is confused... Some of the stuff is really sexy yet tasteful. Something that any 20 something [me] young woman looking to define herself could wear. HOWEVER some of the stuff looks like expensive hood clothes... Ghetto-fied Guess.

THIRD, As a stark departure... The models are thick and obviously beautiful. I don't like that they don't show their faces, but we can't win them all. AND for the guys.. [even though I hope none of y'all will do this...] In the intimate's section... If you hit the more images button... well... beauty. LMAO

Personally..

I just got my old laptop back and loaded all of my old music. I really have great taste.. :D Anyway.. I have the BEST playlists on here... I think I'm going to start a feature in my blog surrounding some of my favorite songs.. Hmm... This may renew my interest in blogging... Maybe my lovely friend BrittanyiAre will help me out! I've completely neglected my blogging because of twitter! But I do have one thing that's been rattling around in my mind: tattoos! I know.. you're not surprised. I've been searching ALL OVER the web for tattoo ideas. In order to give that time value, I'll post the coolest things I've found :) It's my blog, so I can do that! What do you think??

Okay I know I'm late, but I have a reason... I've followed Degrassi: The Next Generation since The N started carrying it. I remember watching marathons at my grandparents' house because they were the only people I knew with digital cable. I even watched episodes online for a while... So, I saw Aubrey Drake Graham as an actor. I always loved him on the show, so I hung on to that.

NOW I've seen the error of my ways :)

I've got all three of his mixtapes on order now... I've already got So Far Gone but I want them all. He's a mix of Wayne's rhymes, Trey's vocals, and Kanye's innovative spirit. However, there is really no comparison. He's his own artist with his own direction. You can tell his influences, but he's something totally different.

There have been a few rappers that make me fall in love with them through their music. The first was Travis of GymClassHeroes. The second was Kanye West. Now there is Drake. It's not groupy love either... It's artistic appreciation that feels like a deep connection that can only be compared to love... ♥ Thanks Josh! lol

AIG: Some Returned Money?

Apparently, 15 of the top 20 AIG executives have returned their bonus money. The sum is in excess of $30M. Get the full story from CNN.com



I've had the same feelings as most of the country when faced with the situation that is the AIG bonuses: anger, confusion, and a thirst for blood. The House has passed legislation that would tax these bonuses to return 90% to the government. I have doubts about not only the constitutionality of this bill, but I also feel that the approach is not effective and scares off potential business allies for the government. Since the situation has had time to simmer, I doubt the Senate will pass the measure. President Obama also voiced disapproval for this method in his interview Sunday.
